I am going to HK next week and would love to get my hair cut and colored. So I am looking for a good hair salon. I am very fussy about my hair and want the job done at high standards.
Would you recommend having hair color in HK? Meaning, as they're most likely used to handling mainly Asian hair type, how well do they know how to handle other types of hair...? Also does any one know the price- have long hair down to mid waist.
Going to Hongkong for this Christmas in 2014,Would it be safe yo go there, considering the street riots and all going on there these days ?

Hii..Iam Indonesian, I will go to Shenzhen via Hongkong in 24th December 2014, is Visa On Arrival (VOA) still available?
can I take plan (Tiger air) from Shenzen to Singapore by using Visa On Arrival (VOA)?
I am traveling during the Christmas holiday season from Kunming to Hong Kong and then immediately take the turbojet ferry to Macau. I have not taken turbojet ferry to Macau immediately after an arriving flight into H.K. at H.K. International Airport before so I am not sure how it works. Since it is the holiday season, I think it is prudent to purchase the ferry ticket on-line now.
Is it easy making the turbojet ferry connection to Macau at H.K. International Airport immediately after arrival? Where is the ferry terminal at the airport? My arriving flight into H.K. is at 1:50 p.m. Should I book the 3:15 p.m. ferry or is it better to book the 5:00 p.m. ferry instead taking into consideration the time I need to pick up my luggage, clear H.K. customs, and walk to the ferry terminal.

We'll be in HK on a Friday morning and wanting to do a side trip to Shezhen to see Windows of the World the same day. I believe that we'll be needing a visa. Please advise how can we acquire it, like where, when and how. Any inputs will be appreciated. Thank you.
Hi everyone, ive been a long time reader, but for the first time I registered with the forums because im going to HK!
This is actually the first time i'm travelling to HK by myself in my adult life, I went once when I was young, but don't remember very much at all.
I'm a food traveler, I mainly take in the sites, but go around learning about local cuisines. One thing that i've really wanted to learn to make was Lap Cheong (the dried Chinese sausages). I have been looking online for a school that teaches it professionally, but so far has been unsuccessful.
It may seem unorthodox, but if someone may know of a school or vocational experience in learning to make lap cheong I would greatly appreciate you pointing me in the general direction.
I'm going to be around the causeway bay area, but am willing to travel.
Staying at Royal Oriental Hotel in November. Any suggestions where to go and how to get around?
Can someone share if you are familiar with ordering vegetarian from a restaurant menu?
And does the airport have good transportation to North Point?
i am looking for visiting HONG KONG in December, for tourist purpose .

then i intend to apply for it by sending all the required documents by post air to the immigration head quarter in HONG KONG .
but i need to confirm about some issues that i hope you can help about :
- about the payment :
a- how much it is going to cost me for everything ,as visa fee and cost of sending the entry visa label ??
b- is it just to inform the bank where i base that i want to make a payment to " The Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region " ,no account number or anything else ???
thanks so much
Travelling to Hong Kong in November and wanted some suggestions on cheap hostels?
My daughter and I will be traveling to taiwan in Jan. 2015. We have decided to extend our 24 hr Hong Kong lay over to 3-4 days. We would like to know if anyone knows of cheap, clean and safe lodging for two women close to MTR stations. (HKD700-800 range). This will be our first visit to Asia.
Any attractions that are "must sees"? We enjoy museums, gardens, historical sites, markets and scenic views.
We are hoping that by staying near an MTR station getting around Hong Kong will be somewhat pain free :)
Apart from citygate, where are the best outlet shops in Hong Kong?

Should we stay on Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, Mongkok or any other suggestions would be nice. We were going to go to Singapore instead of Hong Kong but told Hong Kong was better to visit.
