i want to ask about what kind of transportation should i take from ngong ping to victoria peak, is it easy to use MTR?
Well they are not close. Board the Ngong Ping cable car from Tung Chung, ensure you have a return ticket. Go back to Tung Chung and take the MTR to Hong Kong Station. You can exit there and walk to the Peak tram terminal. Or you can exit there at Exchange Square bus station and take the number 15 bus up the Peak.
My suggestion is to take bus #15 one way and take the tram the other way. You'll get different views.
Ngong Ping located in Lantau island then Victoria peak is in Hongkong island about 63 km, there is no MTR direct from Ngong Ping to Peak, then you have to reach Tung Chung by bus or cable car then take MTR to Hongkong island exit Central Station J2 walking up to the Garden road for Peak Tram or in the other side you can take bus no.15 directly to Peak Gallery . Bus no.15 stop at Exchange Square where the MTR exit also Central station but out from A
Thank you irene! By the way, is it possible to visit ngongping and victoria peak on the same day?
Thank you [VT member 114d6e]! But is it possible if i go to ngongping and then victoria peak on the same day? I'm planning to arrive at victoria around 4pm with tram. Thanks!
You should be fine to visit both. My suggestion is to stay at the Peak till the sunset, as you can see both the skyline during the day and night times. Just beware that there may be a long queue for the tram.
Just an fyi that Ngong Ping 360 will be closed from Nov 14 to 21 (inclusive) for maintenance, and will be closed for cable replacement in early January for about 5 months. You can still take the bus up from Tung Chung.
yes, possible. starting your day earlier and arrive in the afternoon time in Victoria peak is great . Enjoy your holiday
