We will be arriving in HK at 2am. Can you suggest a place where we can kill our time during wee hours?
Go to the airport web page, there are most likely hotels at the airport where you can bunk down for 6 or 7 hours.
If you have a hotel in HK just take a taxi outside and go to your hotel....I have been many times in HK the third time we arrived in HK is around 2 am after a flight from Philippines, we have our hotel book in the center, we email the hotel that we will have a very late arrival
2 am is nothing much to do inside the airport, if you don't want to take a taxi you wait for the first trip with MTR to the center. Look a spot to laydown if you don't want to pay for a hotel. There are areas inside where you can laydown in a bank
Are you also from Philippines? Can I ask more questions? Do hostels allow people to have early check in without additional payment?
Yes I'm originally from Cebu, Philippines, I'm often going to my family....HK is easy gateway for me, we have direct flight from Cebu with Cebu Pacific
No, you can't check-in early without any additional fee. Hotel and hostel has their check in time policy. But if you reach your hostel, you can leave your luggage with them and go on sightseeing
If you arrive at 2am in HK you gonna be waited for Public transport to the city center which start operating at 6 am I think. Take the city bus, is one of the cheapest way to the center, but is long journey. I haven't done the bus, my daughter took the bus last year
Great! I'm from Iloilo. :)
We are planning to get a room at ChungKing Mansions coz we are in a tight budget. If they will allow us to leave our luggage there at 3am, what else can we do there in hk to kill our time in wee hours? We are planning to go to The Peak tower but the Peak Tram starts to operate at 7am so we dont have anything to do at 3am to 6am.
There is nothing much you can do at 3am, still dark, you have to wait till 6am just stay for a while inside the airport, take the bus later and go to your hostel, around 6 am daylights are started to get clearer, stroll around and have breakfast, then go to Peak Tower
Ok. Thank you so much! Btw ma'am, do you know where can we buy discounted tix for Disneyland?
I visited Disneyland a couple of years ago with my cousins, I book our day tickets to this website klook.com/activity/39-hong-k... ....if your booking confirm you get an email which you can print out as e-ticket, and you don't have to wait in queue
Is much more cheaper to order online than buying at the gate, but you need a credit card to pay online or paypal
