Hong Kong

4 Nights in HK

Hi

My Wife and I R staying for 4 nights we in HK. We like good street food, nights out. We don't mind staying 2 nights in different areas for convenience of travel. Where do the backpackers hang out at night they usually provide a good party environment, What attractions R there to see in the day'

Cheers

We have been to HK several times, most iconic nightlife can be found at east Tsim Sha Tsui, Wan Chai and Lan Kwai Fong, I don't know if this is a place for backpackers, during our night out me meet different people with different nationalities, I can't say if they are backpackers or not ;-)

There are things to keep you busy in daytime

And take a daytrip to Macao

Hong Kong is very easy to get around if you're staying in Kowloon or north Hong Kong island, no need to split your time for different accommodations.

Lots of bars at Knutsford Terrace in Tsim Sha Shui and Lan Kwai Fong in Central. Just beware taxis may try to go for a fixed price in the wee hours. It is illegal for drivers to do this. Insist on using the meter, or take another cab.

My suggestion is to stay at least 1 night in Macau - the old town. It is only a 50 minute ferry ride from Hong Kong. The old town is fantastic, very similar to Lisbon.

Chung King Mansions - This is probably the least expensive location on Kowloon side - places to stay / places to east

and convenient for MTR and Star Ferry - short walk to Macau ferry

A true Hong Kong Experience that you won't get in the big name hotels
