Grand Canyon

Upper or Lower Part of the River

I have a choice between rafting the Grand Canyon lower Lake Mead or Upper from Page to Phantom Ranch
Does anyone know which might be more scenic?

There are only TWO places where you can start a boat trip that takes you into Grand Canyon National Park. One of them is Page, and from there you can either get off at Phantom Ranch (AND hike out!) or go the entire length of the Park. The other start point is (surprise!) Phantom Ranch, where you have to hike down there. If you begin anywhere else, you may indeed see some great scenery, but you will NOT see the Grand Canyon National Park. In particular, if you start in Lake Mead NRA, any trip will stop right at the border with the GC.

The Hualapai Tribe does offer a raft trip through a less impressive part of the "Grand Canyon," but it's not in the best parts of The Canyon.

So what exactly are your choices?
