At a minimum not during rush hour 30-45 minutes depending on how far south you start and how far north you go. Rush hour in the morning should not be a whole lot more time as you will be going against the flow but if you return in the afternoon it could be significantly more. And if there is an accident on the freeway, you could sit for a long time. Don't mean to sound pessimistic but traffic in the metro area is terrible and Alpharetta is one of the heaviest areas. Maybe someone else will give more input as well.

i used to live a stones throw from the square in decatur and had to work in alpharetta, right off 400. 1 hour + during rush hour and 40 min at any rush hour slow down. it's slow wheather you take 285 to 400 via ponce de leon or druid hills rd to 85. needless to say, i don't miss it.

hope this doesn't cause further duress.
