Easter Island

Book in advance for November?

Should we worry about booking in advance if we are planning to stay 4 nights in November? Will there be plenty of choices if we just talk to some people at the stalls when we get off the plane? Do they give big discounts on their normal rates if you book upon arrival? Do they work on a bartering system there?

Thanks! Happy Travels!

I don't think it is necessary to book in advance, but don't expect lower rates upon arrival. I think there are more or less fixed prices in Easter Island; most of the so called B&B/pensions do have the same price of 50 USD a night.
So perhaps it is more covenient to book in advance. You can look around on the internet and take the place you like (most).
Easter Island will be a GREAT experience for you.
