Does any one know where to buy "Fine China" in Dusseldorf?
Are you looking for anything specific? A German brand like Meissen? (Actually, you should go to Meissen for that ;-)
Galeria Kaufhof or Lust for lif will stock it. Apart of Meissen try Villaroy & Boch.
Both can be found on the main shopping drag
Yes, Faberge Luxembourg collection. I saw it many years ago in a small beautiful store off the Main shopping street but cannot recall the name.
You know you can usually buy most fine china right off the internet? Very convenient since fine china (I suppose you mean bone china) and travel don't go together very well :-)
Yes I know, unfortunately this collection is discontinued and can not be ordered. I just want to replace some of the broken ones and was hoping to find that shop who might still have some pieces.
So, it's Faberge Luxembourg. Green? Blue? You never know who may come up with some on this forum.
Luxembourg Green. Thanks!
For Fine China, I suggest to check out some antique stores. Some can be found in the Carlstadt area of Düsseldorf. Carlstadt is just south of the Altstadt and comprises mainly of the streets, Hohe, Bilker and cross (east & west) Bastion & Sud streets.
On Hohe Strasse one can also find a quaint 60’s bar called “Brigit Mylord” and it is worth a visit if you are there on the weekend.
For new porcelain one could check out Porcelain Blanc” on Ost Strasse near Schumacher Brauerei/Brewery.
