I will be attending a training workshop in downtown dubai from 27 to 31 November 2016. This will be my first time in Dubai.
I want to know what is possible for me see & do after 4:30 / 5 pm as i intend to make the most of my trip & do more than just visit cinema to watch movies.
I have done some research myself but have been able to come up with limited stuff like dubai underwater zoo, dubai museum & dubai bus trips.
Want to see desert safari too but am not sure If my timings will allow it. That is why I am posting on this forum so that any local might some pass on some stuff that is doable & I cant do. Will appreciate any help.
The Dubai marina is nice for a walk in the evening is this very popular things to do in the evening or see the city of Dubai from the river go on cruise with dinner..... The safari trip you need a day for it
The souks is one of my favourite place to wander in Dubai each time I came back spend sometime in that place
Your timing allows limited excursions but you also have only four nights so immediately after your workshop go to the Dubai Mall and before reaching there buy an online ticket for Burj Al Khalifa so that you can see the sunset at 134th floor and the whole Dubai then you can go to the Underwater Zoo after that have a delicious dinner at the food court in Dubai Mall and go back to your room and rest. Next day Again come to Dubai Mall and see the Dancing Fountain then take a look in the Dubai Mall if you love shopping but it's a bit expensive as all the shops are branded then go to the Skating Rink if you love skating this will end your day. On third day go to The Mall of the Emirates and enjoy the snow covered excursion of Ski Dubai which is worth watching also take their Skiing if you know how to Ski and dine in their executive food court too to end the day. On fourth day go to the Museum after that on walking distance is the Creek, take a trip in one of the Dhow Cruise which have a buffet and some other entertainments in it. Besides all these things if you like to party there are a lots of nightclubs in Dubai where you know what to do ;-)
Wish you a happy trip.
Good suggestions already, but budget comes into it. For example, the Creek dinner cruises are not cheap, but you can cross the Creek on the abra (traditional ferry) for just AED1 each way, and that gives you a good experience. Going to the observation deck of Burj Khalifa is also not cheap, but you should at least visit the area to see the building, the fountain and the mall - all of which are free.
I think the evening desert safaris leave too early for you.
Ok , here is a site from where you can buy slightly cheaper Creek Dinner cruises and they are the best way to spend an evening away from the glamour and gloss of shopping malls in Dubai.
The other point is that in Dubai , we have two different Desert Safari expeditions. One which is from about 2 pm to 10 pm, and the other is from 6 pm through Overnight till 8 am next morning.
If it suits you can choose one.
Search in the same sites to see if you get a proper deal.
Hope this helps.
There are evening Safari trips, and not expensive. Your hotel should have details.
