LOOKING FOR SOAP MADE IN DOMINICA

Help..... have any recent travelers to Dominica, or locals, come across a soap called Refresh With Aloe Vera- it has a black wrapper and shows a picture of the green aloe vera stems. If this soap is still available there and any one sees it, would you please enter a post and tell me where you saw it? Thanks!!!!

Hello, Thanks - and if you find a place to get more, please let me know, OK??? I have several searches currently going on, but as of yet, no luck. During a visit to Barbados 4 years ago, I think perhaps I bought every bar of Refresh Aloe Vera soap on the island - we made stops at every store we came across. (Since I had bought some on the advise of another tourist friend I met during the visit before that one - I couldn't wait to get bck and purchase more!) During our last visit in December, there was not one bar of this awesome soap to be found anywhere. I have a friend in Barbados who is trying to find a distributor for this soap, but even she isn't having any luck. I've had absolutely NO luck finding anyone in Dominica where the soap is supposed to be made to help me. Thanks for any help you can find, as well!!!!

Thanks! I am aware of that company and have been working with them, but they don't seem to have that soap anymore. The girl that responded to me a while ago said they were expecting a shipment in March and she would check to see if that is the soap I am looking for. I am keeping my fingers crossed - it is such an awesome soap!!!!

I have been buying refresh soap with Aloe Vera by the case since 1999. The company that I buy it from in NJ imports it from Dominica. The whole process is quite tedious. I place my order and I wait up to 2 months for the "steam ship" to travel between several of the carribean island to a port in NJ. Anyways, I'm down to my last few bars and I went to place an order on 10/11/07. My supplier said that Refresh with Aloe is no longer being made. Colgate Palmolive said it is too expensive to produce and it is discontinued. So, I guess it is time for us to find a new soap. Oh yeah, about 5 or 6 years ago Colgate Palmolive bought out the local company Dominican Product LTD. Figures they ruin a good thing.

Hi there,

I know how difficult it is to provide Dominica's wonderful soaps to the outside world!

We currently sell Castile Beauty Soap on our website Caribbean-Search.com

The page is here: [original link]

As we are in Dominica, shipping is expensive and can take anywhere from 2 to 8 weeks to reach America.

If anyone is still interested in Refresh Aloe Vera Soap, let me know and I'll see what I can do for you. It is still available in stores here in Dominica, although I recently heard that a company from Barbados is interested in buying Colgate-Palmolive.

I found this site you can purchase Refresh Soap from Canada.

I love this soap too and usually pick up a ton if it in Jamaica or St.a Martin.
