Porto - North by Train  (6 Answers)

I would like to travel to Porto (by air) and then take a train north to spend a few dyas in one or two villages north of the city. Any recommendations please, looking for scenery, good (reasonale price food), inexpensive lodgings and places to visit for two gay guys. Haven't used the rail service in Portugal so don't want to travel too far first time.

Porto wine  (3 Answers)

Hello!

We have heard it is cheaper to buy Poro Wine at supermarkets instead of wineries. Could somebody recomend us any supermarket at Porto to buy them?

By the way,we are visiting Porto this weekend from Saturday to Wednesday. Weather forecast for this weekend is rainy, isn't it?

Thank you

Metro Zones  (11 Answers)

We are considering to buy Andante 24 for Zone 2 so we would like to know where the zone 2 starts and where it finishes.

For example, Sete Bicas station and Dragao station are inside Zone 2?

Thank you.

Costa Blanca to Portugal (Porto)  (2 Answers)

We're travelling by motorhome to Porto in early Feb, and with the very cold weather we are presently suffering all over Europe I am concerned about which areas between Madrid and Porto to avoid for fear of getting caught in snow, and all our pipes freezing up!
We're were planning on taking the most direct route and then winding our way back, anyone got any ideas or areas which might be more difficult for us to navigate through?

Arriving 9th August, what hostel to stay at, help quick!!  (1 Answer)

Hiya,

I'm male and am travelling alone... I am flying to porto on the 9thAUG 07 and am wondering if any hostels will be availiable?

Also as i am alone which are the best for other like-minded poele that i can meet , so a hostel with not just all stag parties or something!

So which are the best hostels in Porto that you'd recommend, preferably near the centre of town.

Plus any dangers of me travelling alone, would be great!

Thanks in advance.

Jack

baby car seats?

we are travelling to Porto in a week with kids and we have booked car with one baby seat. My other kid, age of 6 will also need a car seat. I think it's too expensive to rent it (50 EUR), so we were thinking of bringing it along. Where it is possible to buy that kind of equipment in POrto and how much it costs? Simply seat or rack. Where we live, we can buy them in supermarket at about 20 EUR. Any suggestions will be appreciated!
