My husband and I are planning a walking tour of Dingle Way in May. Do you advise us to plan an independent self-guided tour? Or would you recommend booking a guide with a small group of people?
If we do a self guided tour, do you think we'll have trouble getting our luggage transported to our next accomodation?
Thanks so much for your help!
I'd prefer a self-guided tour every time. But to get your bags transported onwards you will, I think, have to rely on the local taxi firms, which might be expensive and potentially difficult to arrange.
You might consider emailing Dingle Tourist Information on [email] . They will certainly be able to tell you whether local taxi firms would be willing to carry unescorted luggage, give you an idea of cost per mile and will know of any possible alternatives.
An alternative might be to plan a series of bases, staying one or two days and taking circular walks from each (rather than walking point to point, which I assume you are considering). You'll still have to find transport when you move on, but at least you will have the possibility of using buses.
