I have booked an international flight to US. My first landing is in DTW and I have 2 hours and 35 mins to catch my flight to Phoenix. Is it possible for me to do everything on time? Has anyone has an experience?
The arrival time is 3:25pm and the departure time is at 6:00pm.
Other flights are much more expensive :(
My flight arrives at 11:00pm and departs the next morning at 8:00am. I need a hotel room for that short time. I would like to stay in a hotel that is very near the airport and not more than $100 a night. Which hotel is the best and easiest to get to and from the airport? Thank you.
I will have a flight from DC to Detroit then connect to another flight 43 min. later to Narita. I wonder how big or easy Detroit airport is and will I make it on time considering they also have to unload/ reload my checked-in luggage. I supposed if the airline sold me ticket I should be able to make it right? I have done transit in an hour but wonder if 40 min. is kind of short. Thanks.

Two Detroit-area questions:
(1) Please suggest what you think is the best current deal for a one-week economy-car rental
pick up and drop off at Detroit-Wayne Airport. I've checked on line, of course; but seek recent, local
feedback, if possible.
(2) In the Greater Detroit area -- aside from The Henry Ford Museum and the Chrysler Center museum-exhibit -- what in your opinion are the best current car design centers that a curious, medium-experienced adult car buff person
can visit and learn from?

Dear Fellow Virtual Tourist People,
I have an airline ticket problem and don't know how to solve it.
I seek advice, please.
That is, this last Saturday I booked & paid for a round-trip ticket Europe/USA/Europe -- for a business meeting I have there about a month from now. I am freelance.
Today (Tuesday) I got word that they changed the date of my USA meeting, and now -- with the ticket I bought last Saturday -- I will arrive four days late for this
How can I change or cancel my ticket and not loose the money I have paid? I still need to go to USA -- but don’t want to have to buy a whole new ticket (and forfeit the first round trip ticket!).
My credit card covers cancellation costs for: (1) medical reasons; (2) a salaried job when starting date for employment suddenly changes; (3) loss of employment; (4) employer suddenly changes my vacation dates.
Unfortunately I qualify for none of the above.
How can I change or cancel my ticket?
By the way, I have already checked with the people I bought the ticket from, and since I have paid fully for this flight (that's now the wrong date!) they will not refund or change my flight.
Last possibility: can anyone recommend a really good last-minute on line ticket deal site for Europe/USA flights?
Thank you all very much for whatever advice you might be able to give.
Yours, a worried traveler: Eurycleia

Hi, I will be arriving at DTW on an international flight and only have 1 hr 20 min to my connecting flight. Is this enough time to go through immigration and check-in to my next flight? In LAX, you have to claim your luggage and check it again to the connecting flight. Does DTW have the same rules? Any airport tips on how to save time would be appreciated. Btw, I have Delta flights.
I'm travelling to Detroit for the first time for an interview. My interview's at a building on Moross Road. They've recommended a few hotels in Roseville, most of which are 10-15 mins away from the info I've been sent. I was wondering what the best way would be to get from DTW airport to this area? What if I took a cab? How much would that cost me? I'm not too keen on the idea of renting a car since I'm flying back the very next day. And any feedback of any of the hotels in the Roseville area would be great too.
What I need to see when I visit the Detroit Zoo site along with prices are;

My friend and I will be staying at the Holiday Inn Express in downtown Detroit for the Lions/Eagles game in September. I was hoping I could get some advice on places in the downtown area to visit, bars, clubs, restaurants, any other areas of interest. Also, how safe is walking in the downtown area? Would it be dumb to walk at night? (we are both guys) Thanks so much for any replies!

Is there any place that is free and accessable in Detroit that will give you a great view of the city? If so, please elaborate. The higher and broader the view the better. Looking for a cute romance spot ;).
Hi - am travelling soon to Detroit. What is the neighborhood like around the station?
I want to visit Detroit for a long weekend some time in summer 2010, I want to see MCS before the city destroys it or it gets a major renovation. Is there any work scheduled for demolition or renovation before September 2010? Do alot of people go there to take a look? Is the area around MCS safe for visitors that want to take pictures of the exterior of the building? When is the best time of day to check it out? Are there any public or private tours of the interior of MCS? Your response would be greatly appreciated, Thank You!
Hello... I got some more questions about Belle Isle, Is it a safe place to visit on the weekends or at night in the summer? What about week days? Do alot of shady people hang out on the island?, like thugs, homeless people & drug addicts? Is there a certain area of the island that is best to avoid? Is there public pay phones by the Jefferson Ave. E. & Grand Blvd. E. area or on the island?
Hi there, I got a few questions... Is it possible to walk across the Douglas Macarthur bridge? Is there a seasonal schedule that the James Scott fountain operates by, like from May to October? Does it light up at night? Your feed back would be very much appreciated, thank you!
