Camping in Death Valley in June

Hi !

we'd like to camp in Death Valley end of June. We already did it in September, so we know how it can be hot, to have plenty of water, etc.

Our question is : are the higher campgrounds cooler at night ? We saw Wildrose and Emigrants campgrounds at higher elevations, is there someone who tried them in summer ?

Thank you !

Yes they are much cooler than camping in the valley. There is only one campground (Furnace Creek) open in the valley during the summer because of the heat.

I think a good multiplier is 5 degrees fahrenheit for every 1000 feet elevation. I was there in March, and it was 80s in the valley and 60s at Dantes Peak.
