We are a family of 4 going Island hopping. First stop Murter then hoping to sail to Levrnaka. Apparently there is a camping site there run by the owners of the restaurant. Does anyone have any experience of this? We have been told the best boat to get there is Barbarinac?
We are landing in Split on Thursday at 1400. We are keen to get to Murter as soon as possible. Can anyone help with Bus times directions etc? Would really appreciate some up to date info from an expert!
Hi, we are leaving for a week's holiday in Split the day after tomorrow with a 13 year old child. Unfortunately the weather forecast promises rain for the whole week.
Many of the obvious things to do in Split suddenly become less obvious if it is pouring down.
I would really, really appreciate any advice you may have on what to do in Split in the rain.
Thank you so much.
I'm looking at doing Sailsation party sailing in Croatia but I just don’t want to go alone. So I was wondering if anyone was thinking of going but doesn’t want to go all by themselves – so we can share a cabin.
I was looking at going on the second date in August.
We will be driving from Dubrovnik to Split in July and wondering where to spend 1 night. Area with nice beach, restaurant/cafe. Not too much of tacky tourist. Thank you
Hi, Three of us are planning to be in Croatia in late May- early June. We'd love to spend several days getting on and off of ferries and exploring various Dalmatian islands on rented bikes. The tours that offer to feed you, house you on a boat, provide bikes and a social group, sound like a lot of fun but all seem to be very expensive.
Does anyone have experience or advice on doing such a trip on our own? Where to rent bikes in Split? What islands are the best for biking and overnight stays? What combo of 2-3 islands would make a nice loop starting and ending in Split? Do all the ferry routes accept bikes? Any resources for cycling information you've found helpful? Any pitfalls to avoid?
Thanks to anyone who can answer any or all of these questions!
Help - lost the name of the restaurant that I am hosting a dinner at in October. It begins with S and if I remember sort of Srkdena. Doesn't have a website and I have spent days trying to find. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
What are some good hotels/hostels that are close to the beach and not terribly expensive?
Hi, I am planning a 10 day trip to the dalmatian coast in June 2010. I was planning on flying in to Dubrovnik, spending several days exploring the islands and then travelling up the coast from Split to Zadar and flying out from there.
I was wondering whether to hire a car in Dubrovnik for the entire journey or to just hire a car for the second part of the trip (Split - Zadar) and explore the islands on foot and by bicycle. I have heard mixed reports on how easy it is to take a car on the ferries when exploring the islands but have also been told that it is better to take a car to see the islands properly.
Any advice would be very much appreciated!!
I'm trying to find contact information for the Kaleta Apartments in Split. Can anyone help me out?

I'll be staying in Supetar June 27-July 4 and I was hoping to take my family out on a 1 day sailing trip. I have done this a few times in the Caribbean and had a really nice time.
What I would be looking for is a captained SAIL boat, with no more than say 20 other people where we go out sailing for the day, stop somewhere for a meal and maybe some other 'sea' related activities, fishing or scuba diving or something like that.
Does anyone know if this is a realistic expectation without spending a fortune and if so... any contact information (websites etc..)
1 flight option has us arriving in Split airport at 20:50 and we have booked a flat in Supetar.
Do you think we'll be able to get over there before the last transport of any kind. This is for June 27
I'm interested to rent a maxi-scooter (150cc or more) in the Trogir area. Does anyone know of rental possibilities? Thanks for any advice. Roger
I'm visiting Split. I'm looking for good place to eat and to have fun.

PS: I like exploring cities, their culture, architecture, life and meeting people live there. Also I'd like to swim :)
I would like to know if on Vis island there is any Rent-a-Car because each time I went there I had my car with me. A friend of mine will go to Vis without car and asked me if there is the possibility to rent one, but I didn’t know how to reply.
I can remember that in Vis town the travel agency rent scooters and bikes, but I don’t remember cars.
Thanks in advance! Chiara

I am traveling from Split to Dubrovnick over the course of 8 days, spending two days to start in Split. Is there a website for the ferry times/prices. Do they need to be booked in advance? And finally, what is your suggested itinerary for my route? I received some advice to leave three days for Dubrovnick as a hub to then explore from there... so that leave 3 days to get from Split to Dubrovnick. Suggestions?
(Also, I am flying to Zagreb to spend one day there before flying home, so if anyone has suggestions on a 1 day itinerary for Zagreb, that would be great, as well).
Thanks in advance!!!
we are cruising on Legends of The Sea and will be in Split for 1 day. Any suggestions on "must see".We will be in Split early July 2008.
Should we take a tour or explore on our own?
I wondered How long this would take. Also If it would be easier taking the bus/train?
We are planning to come in Croatia on 6-th of June, most likely, and I would like to know how it would be the watter temperature that time of the year from your previous experience, and if is it fine for swimming.
Thank you very much,
Hi, I live in Istanbul and need to get to Split to meet a friend in mid-May. I'm a student so it's too expensive to fly and I was thinking of taking a train. I went in January and took a bus from Sarajevo, but unfortunately this time I don't have time to do that, I just need the quickest route. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance!
We're prob flying into Split for the Garden Festival in July. We're arriving on a Saturday and wanted to know how to get to Petrcane (near Zadar).
I understand that the airport is outside Split, is there transport from the airport or do we need to go into Split?
Can anyone help with any info on buses, taxis, fares, times etc;

Any suggestions on a good place to stay in Hvar? We're thinking about booking the Riva, but have heard that the rooms are quite small. Any input on the Riva or other comparable hotels would be appreciated.
I'm going to spend a few days in Hvar first week of September. I'm planning to spend 2 nights in Stari Grad and 3 nights in Hvar town.
Does anybody know if there is private accommodation in Stari Grad as I'm only reading about Hvar town?
