Thank you !
Hi, I will be traveling to eastern Europe in May. I will be in Czech Republic, Hungry, Austria and Romania. ,I will need to recharge my smart phone and I-Pad. My question is," what type of power converter do I need for this area?"
Thank You .
Ill be flying into Prague from Chicago this July for a friends wedding in Frenstat. I see it is about a 4 hr drive or I can take a 1 hour flight....Since I have the extra time, are their sites not to miss if I drive? If no 'sites',
will it just be a nice drive to casually see the countryside and stop in some small towns for food ect?...or...definitely fly..? Thanks!!
What is the easiest way to go to the Giant mountains by transports (train or bus)?
Hello I'm going to NY in 2 months. We will fly from Prague to London-Heathrow and then we have 2 hours to catch our flight to NY. We are really nervous of not catching the plane. So I have some questions. Does anyone have an experience with transfer in Heathrow? We'll also land in terminal 3 and fly to NY from 3, so this is a benefit I hope. I'm also curious about the way out of the plane. I'm afraid that we will have to go by bus from the plane even that our next flight is from the same terminal we might have to go by bus through more terminals and it takes time.
Thank you for your time
Hi anyone been cycling near Manetin in the Czech Republic? I am planning a weekend of cycling in the Prirodni National Park near Pilzen in the Czech Republic. I wondered if anyone had done something similar and had some recommendations on where to stay?
I would like to visit Ceske Krumlov and Ceske Budejovice, how many days in each? I was thinking two full days in each would be enough.
Looking for a cheap Holiday house in the north. Somewhere around Vrchlabi and Spindleruv Mlyn. We are going with 8 persons. I don't want to use the normal booking agents because they rip-off both the owners and their customers.
I'll be in Prague for a few days, then will travel down to Budapest to visit some friends. But in between I have three days (Dec 23 afternoon ~ Dec 26 afternoon) with no plan. I'll be alone and I know that it is over Christmas so believe most things will be closed or at least very quiet and deserted.
Any advice for this period over Christmas? Should I stay in Prague, go to Vienna, half day in Brno, side trip to Sedlec, day in Bratislava, etc? Will everything still be open or will most of the cities be closed for the holidays?
hi what is best transfer from prague todresden bus or train
Hi, i'll be next week in Czech republic specifically in Prague. I wanna try authentic local food. Do you have some experience with any restaurant or food tours?
A few years ago I bookmarked a wonderful webpage. It wasn't specific to Czech Republic, but I know it included pages on Prague, Cesky Krumlov, and other locations, plus main cities and special sites worldwide. The site had photos and panning views as well and written descriptions of main attractions of each city. I bookmarked it, but lost some of my favorites when my computer was reset to factory settings. Does anyone know the site I'm looking for?
Thanks very much for any help you can give.
So in two weeks I'm going to ,Germany to Czech and Austria. So I wanted to find out a few things:
We hire a car every move of the trip. So my first question is if have to pay something in the transition between the country?
Since we hire a car we want to navigate served us well. GPS fits but just wanted to have a website., I think they call it. "NET STIK.",
So could I buy it in Prague near the airport and how can I to find out?
Need some advice please. Which is the preferred travel by car route...and the cheapest car hire company to use.....Done some homework and seems like Croatia is cheaper. Planning on doing a 2 week drive up or down, stopping en route as we please.....this would be in Oct/November of this year. ANY comments suggestions or recommendations would be much appreciated. Kind thanks!

Traveling to Europe and getting Euro currency through ATM as an USA banking customer is rather simple and found to be the best exchange rate. However, going to the Czech Republic will be another story. Is the better value getting Czech currency from an ATM or exchanging Euro at a bank in the Czech Republic?
Is there a train roaming ticket in Czech republic that entitles you to travel a day, from train to train ? Like the one in Germany.

In September I will be flying into Prague, renting a car and driving to Rome and back to Prague . I am interested in scenic drives, interesting places to stay and eat (not too expensive). I'm more interested in small rural villages than larger cities, I would like to hike some, meet locals and see odd and unusual places. I will have two weeks to make the trip. What countries should I drive through, what stops should I make?
I am planning a motorbike trip to and around the Czech Republic this summer. We (my Girlfriend and I ) travel alone on one bike, I like to research my destinations before I go there and in looking at the many posts about the Czech Republic I see on this site, pretty much all of them go on about the crime in Prague.
I have toured through a number of countries in Europe over ten years now, so do not consider myself a 'green horn' when it comes to touring so its not advice on where to go, or what to see that I am after. We avoid the tourist traps as much as possible and prefer to disappear out into the countryside as far from centers of population as possible, (that way you meet the real people).
I consider myself fairly savvy when it comes to the usual tourist cons that many gullible travelers fall prey to and I hope I can avoid falling into those sorts of problems. All major cities have pickpockets and con artists, these we expect, but what about out of the major cities, what can I expect there? What I would like someone to tell me is what if any sort of craftiness the locals (uniformed or otherwise) may get up to if they meet two lone travelers who don't speak the language. A bit, and I mean a bit of french has just about served me well enough so far and besides I like to try and learn the language as I go.
I don't see armed bandits around every bend but forewarned is forearmed.
I'm egyptian and I wanna go to Czech republic..
Does anyone know how long time it will take till I get the visa..?
Thank you for your answer
I understand we can't always know what the weather will be like but what are the chances of snow in either litomerice and Bohemia Switzerland and or telc and or czesky krumlov for Christmas Day

Hey I'm traveling from Pardubice to Krakow next month via train. The train schedule shows a Czech train originating in Praha, stopping in Pardubice and then going to Katowice and then you change trains to a local Polish train to go to Krakow. Can I purchase the tickets for both the Czech train and the Polish local at the station in Pardubice ? I also assume that American credit cards will work in outlying train stations in the Czech Republic ?
I realize that these are rather naive questions but I don't have much familiarity with the European train system.
Thanks for any help anyone can provide !
Hi everybody!! i would like to know your opinion about to spend a day trip from Prague...Cesky Krumlov or Olomouc? many thanks for any advice!!
My wife and I are wanting to tour Germany, France, Austria, Czech and Hungry in mid December to ate January. As this also includes Christmas Day we are having trouble sourcing tour companies. Does anyone know of any?
