Hey there! What is the best way to get from Vienna to Dubrovnik? Plane or train? Please help! Traveling from the states. Thanks in advance!
I am thinking of hiring a sail boat - either bare or with the like of Sun Sail. I would prefer a private hire. Can anyone advise where to start looking?

Does Hvar island operate public transport to explore the island? Info. welcome. Is motor scooter hire a viable alternative €/day. Travel mid May 2017. Thks.
I'm planning my first visit to Split, Croatia. Where's the best place for local currency exchange and for comparison purposes, what is the current exchange rate being offered for Kuna to the British pound. In UK, this about 8.3.
Can anyone recommend hotels in Dubrovnik. Planning a 2017 summer trip. Family of 6 total (2 adults 4 children). The challenge for us at times is getting all of us in one room/suite. We are hotel snobs. Looking for recommendations. Villa-Dubrovnik seems nice - but a little high in price. Any others? Near town? Would want it to be near town, with a pool and near a beach.
We need to figure out transportation from Korcula to Dubrovnik. We would rent a car, but can't find any rental places in Orebic. We also know people that had a private driver and drove the scenic route and stopped in Ston for lunch on the way to Dubrovnik. Any info on where we could find this service?
My husband and I are planning to take the train from Frankfurt airport to Zagreb, Croatia.....is this possible and if so, does anyone have any pointers for us, things we should know? Also, I'm trying o get an idea of cost and departure times with the train and hoping someone can suggest a website for this....Thank you, Cheryl
I just arrived at this location, map postal code 21216

It's dark and we walked to the old charming town, but where do we swim? Where are the pretty beaches in photos displaying enough space to go in water not close to boats? If you can supply near address would be helpful thank you!
Hi all. I will be travelling in the next week along this coast. I want a nice beach, but not going to islands as this is time consuming and needs planning in August, so far we been late going one place to another whether it's border crossing or traffic, plus we need to be in Trieste on night of Aug 16. We are looking to do a few days here and there on the coast I just described on August 10 til then. We will like to do Split and Zadar but we also like to use our bathing suit once this trip. We will be in Mostar on August 9 I imagine the border crossing a nightmare too! If you know a few good beaches along that coast would be great and open to suggestions . I also have two small kids. Thanks!
I will spend the the last week of september (22 to 29/30) in croatia and im starting to plan a road trip the basic ideia is since i will arrive at Zagreb, grab the car and drive to liubliana - Bled - Trieste then croatia where to spot / Sleep? in this time of the year is possibel to catch some sun and swim? Hi I am looking to go to Croatia with my hubby for the first time but have no idea of where to start, we want to be close to bars, restaurants, a little night life, beaches and shopping but not where it is too noisy can anyone help or advise me
We're staying at Rovinj - read somewhere that Slovenia and Croatia sold the heavily embroidered straps for melodians/piano accordians - the type of instruments used by Morris dancers and buskers!!. Any ideas where to purchase these please - don't mind a reasonable journey as we could turn it into a trip out.
We are flying to Belgrade, renting a car and spending 18 days (from 27/7 to 14/8/2016) to travel/drive/tour around in CROATIA, but also Bosnia, Montenegro and Serbia before returning to Belgrade to fly back home.
We would be immensely grateful for good advice, regarding:
- the best route/itinerary to take to drive through to cover the most important sites in this region/countries
- what to buy, where to stay, what to eat
- what to do and what to avoid
- general advice regarding traveling, touring, experiences in this region/countries
Please let us have your precious advice we need as soon as possible to plan well!
Thank you in advance!
Hi I am planning a trip from Venice to drive down the coast of Croatia, possibly Montenegro. I would like a ferry that is frequent, don't really have to book in advance, and not expensive, we are 2 adults, 2 kids and a car. I plan to go back to Bari, Brindisi or Ancona.
Car rental companies from Venice, Italy that allow travel to Slovenia, Croatia, maybe Serbia and Montenegro
Hello. Just wondering what is the company to avoid. I usually book with AutoEurope. Also, I heard about a green card, and fees. Thanks!
hello we are family wants to visit Croatia in September, best way to reach from Austria or Italy?prefer buses or ferries
what is the best way to find a "sobe" or private apartment in croatia?
vrbo and airbnb?
Hi All, We are planning summer trip in Croatia from UK ( 2 adults and 2 kids ).
We have around 7 nights in Croatia. Thinking of following itinerary.
Day 1: Fly to Zagreb in the morning and drive to Plitvic Park and try and reach there by afternoon. Try and do a simple trail in the park if possible.
Day 2: Spend in Plitvic Park and travel to Split and reach there in the evening.
Day 3: Spend in Split.
Day 4. Travel to Dubrovnik
Day 5-8 : spend in Dubronvik and fly back on Day 8
Does this sound a very ambitious plan? My thinking behind this planning is that , we will spend some time in travelling, but will get to see Plitvic National Park, which seems to highly recommended, and then second part of the holiday, we will be relaxing in Dubronvik.
Can anybody see any obvious flaws in the plans e.g. any travel issues from Zagreb to Plitvic, or finding 2 nights accommodation in Split etc.
Ideally I would prefer a self catering apartment in Dubronvik and hotel in Plitvick and split.
Any ideas suggestions?
I found 2 ferries that makes this trip.
Is either one fine? or is one better than the other?
We plan to do a day trip to Proizd and have a few questions
Where do the taxi boats leave from?
How often do they run?
We have a motorhome is there anywhere safe that we can park it for the day at Vela Luka?
Is this the main bus service company in Croatia?
what does "HR" stand for in their website?
how reliable are they?
are the transit times (to/from accurate)?
Do you need to book in advance?
I will be in vacation from 6 to 23 July traveling to Croatia by car.
Here is my plan and I wanted to ask you if I'm missing something "unmissable" along the road.
I thank you in advance for your tips.
6 to 10 July - Trip to Pula and stay in the region +1 day Visit Rovinj
10 to12 July - trip to Plitvice lakes and falls and overnight in Skradin. Visit Krka national park
12 to16 July - trip to Split an stay in the region. Visits to Trogir, Vis beach, Zlatni Rat and Bol beaches, probably rafting on the Omis
16 to 19 July - trip to Dubrovnik via Brela, Makarska, Ston. Visit Dubrovnik and Cavtat.
19 to 21 July - trip to Zadar and stay in the region. Visit Nin.
21 to 23 July - trip to Venice and back home on 23rd.
I have about 2.5 weeks for my vacation. I would like to avoid long bus trips so came up with this. My main interests are photography (i do alot of cityscapes) and visiting old historical stuff. Would love to hear opinions. Also, let me know if my transit times are accurate. Thanks!

A child up to 5 years must be placed in a seat adapted to his/her size on the rear seat. A child aged between 5 and 12 must travel on the back seat using a 3 point seat belt with booster seat if necessary for his/her height.
Someone please help me as to what should be the height where booster is not required.
Cant find it online .
Hi.. I am visiting Zagreb, Rastoke, Split and Dubrovnik. Whats the best place to shop in Croatia?
I am looking for clothes for my daughter and myself too.
Hi! Booked flights and accommodation so far taking my bf and I from kotor-Venice over 3 weeks this August. Itinerary below.
Kotor-Dubrovnik-Mostar-kravice falls-makarska-omis-hvar-vis-split-krka-zadar-plitvice-prematura-pula-Zagreb-Ljubljana-skocjan caves-lake bled-Venice.
Usually one or two nights at each stop.
I have a car hired for the Split-Zagreb section And will then get a train to Slovenia and I'm sorted from there. Also sorted from Mostar-makarska.
I plan to get busses the rest of the way. Do I need to book these busses online or can I just turn up and get on the bus paying the driver or ticket office on the day?
Worried about not being allowed on a bus because it's too full but also booking ahead leaves little room for spontaneity and booked tickets might be worthless on the day?!
Any suggestions would be great. Also, boat from Omis to Hvar without having to go to split first. Possible?
