Colombia - Travellers cheques, credit card ???

Could u tell me what is the best way to take money (US Dollars) to Colombia ? I've heard that there is difficult to exchange travellers cheques outside of Bogota ? Do u know something about it ?
What kind of credit card is the most popular there - mastercard, visa, any other ??

Traveller checks are difficult to change in many places in the world. For Colombia I brought some dollars, but only used my VISA-card to withdraw money from the ATMs. You can use both VISA and MasterCard and the ATMs are easy to use. You put your card in, but then take it out immediatly, before choosing how much money you want to withdraw and before entering the code. For most ATMs you can look the door behind you.

Agree-use ATMs. All credit cards are widely accepted with Mastercard and Visa the most popular.

Tahnks, suppose Citibank has his offices in Colombia so I'll try with citibank mastercard.
