travelling from Bogota to Villavicencio Colombia

Does anyone know how would be the best and safest way from Bogota to Villavicencio Colombia other than by airplane... taxi or bus? how long is the trip and how much? and does anyone have any idea of a timetable/ first bus /last bus? thanks

distance is 113km or about 67 miles, there is hourly bus service and the cost approximately 33,000 pesos, or just under 10GBP

How safe is it in villavicencio?

Very safe. I spend months on end year visiting my girlfriend. There are never any other tourist here so people look at you but its with interest more than anything else....
also the road from Bogota to Villavicencio is the most protected in Colombia as its a main transportation route so it too is 100%

I agree with mconran. The road from Bogota to Villavicencio is the most protected route in Colombia so there's nothing to worry about. You can go there by bus. I guess it's the cheapest way. Anyway, Raw Travel will be featuring Bogota and other cool places in Colomia on TV this week.
