Sim card for mobile phone?

Is there a place in Cobh that sells sim cards for mobile phones or do I have to wait until I go to Cork? Thank you

Hi MaryH57

In my research I found that any of the cellphone or mobile carriers in Ireland can sell you a sim card. Vodafone, 3, O2, Meteor, etc all have retail stores in most town of any size and alsosome at the airport arrivals area. Ask for a prepaid sim card.

Hope that helps.

Hi, Cobh has a lot of gift shops and similar. A newsagent may have Pay As You Go sims, but there are not any full mobile phone shops there.

Good luck.

Why Cobh? not a usual starting place for a holiday or are you getting off a cruise? The Post office offer phone's and sim's which run on Vodafone if its short term urgent but I would get a Tesco Mobile from Cork if you are planning to use it much. Tesco are widely regarded as the best provider for coverage and cost using the 02 and Hutchinson (3) networks
