Are there any public buses from Mestre to Chioggia?
From Mestre Station take the blue ACTV Bus, number 80E to Chioggia. The trip from Mestre to Chioggia takes about 40 min.
The ticket for the ACTV bus must be purchased from the newsagent at Mestre railway station(one-way ticket: 4.50 euros; return ticket 8.00 euros).
Maurizio, if you want to do a much longer but fun during the summer journey you can go to Venice, than over to Lido with vaporetto and than, with another vaporetto over to Chioggia, you can also stop in Pellestrina, a nice village with a line of very clean beaches, I think I remember reading that they obtained the blue flag this year.
You can do the journey one way by bus and one way by boat.
