My wife and I are planning a train trip from Casablanca to Rabat. We will travel first class, in order to have reserved seats. We will have one medium-sized suitcase each, but too big for an overhead rack. Are there spaces in the cars for luggage, or do we have to look into checking the luggage for this short journey?
It would not be some problem. I was traveled with one such medium sized luggage and there was space on the train to put in it.
There is more space in first class than second, more comfortable seats and leg room, in addition to the two overhead luggage racks there is storage space under the seats, I had no problem stowing my two medium-sized backpacks on the racks above the seats, so I don't think you will have any problems either.
Moroccans are renowned for travelling with a "mountain" of luggage, especially on holiday dates, but they always prefer to save money by travelling second class, in first class it's usually business people with only small items of hand luggage.
Benny beat me to it - ha ha true its not a rare sight to see Moroccans travelling with mountains of luggage - your medium sized cases might actually look quite small lol
Thanks, guys - I think I have my answer!
