I have been on various websites collecting info on cartagena.
I am thinking of retiring and living there permanently. I
love the weather, and the diversiness of the people and its history
of the country.
I am planning to visit this summer, and would like to know the best
month to visit, when is high season for tourists.
I will be traveling alone, are there recommended hotels to stay away from,
and parts of the city as well.
In regards to retiring to colombia, are there any other cities recommended
for an 45 yr old single retiree.
Fact or Myth, are the colombian women as bueatiful as I have been hearing,
and do they care for american men-me african-america?
thanks for any advice and recommendations.
I have been to colombia few times(Am 37, african american)living in seattle.
Cartegena is a nice place but i think cali or barranquilla best for african americans.
The ladies are great and they love african american men. I planned on retiring
in colombia as well but, i want to checkout Rio, Brazil first before i made my final decision, have heard some great stories about brazillian ladies.Infact, am
departing for rio next month.
If you have further question about colombia, let me know.

I have been to CTG several times. I like the place, I'm wite 58 and I loved the place for a vacation, in the winter, which is season. A foreign man of any color will like Colombia. The women are beautiful and they are feminine, do not dispair you will enjoy the ladies.
CTG is great for the party life and the historic old city. It is worth buying there. A US retired friend of mine is buying apts. in old town and renovating them. He loves it!
Cali is larger and more sofisticated cosmopolitan etc. Medellin is even more so. I've never been to Bogota but it's the capital and I'm sure the ultimate Colombia city and what that brings good and not so good.
Depends on what you want.
