Canmore to Banff Transport

My Husband and I are staying Falcolncrest in Canmore in June. Could you please advise if and what transportation is available to us for getting in between there and Banf (without having to hire a car) Are there organised tours to different regions, like Lake Louise/Edmonton/Jasper etc or is it easier to go back into Calgary to get to some of these places.
Sorry, but its the first time we have travelled to Canada from Oz.
Any tips greatly appreciated.

Unless your hotel is offering a shuttle, there is really no transportation to/from Banff.

Grayline offers tours of the area, and I believe they go from the bus terminal in Banff. Have a look at all the great Banff pages around here for more ideas and tips.

Have a great time!

It's only a 10 minute drive from Canmore to Banff town, you could probably take a taxi into Banff and hook up with a tour there (and yes, there are tours from Banff).

There are greyhound buses that run between Banff and Calgary stopping in Canmore on a daily basis , i had to use this service regularly as i dont drive , it's possible that there are only 2 runs daily but with it being june maybe even more

Hope this helps
