Trip to Canada

Hi we are flying into Calgary then to Banff, Lake Louise & 2 nights on the Rocky Mountaineer finishing at Vancouver. We have just over a week left & we don't know where to go next. I would like to go over to Vancouver Island & maybe Torfino . We will be touring by car, any ideas please?

You might go from Vancouver to Victoria, staying there for a few days and then driving to Tofino for a few days. You can take the ferry from Tawassen get to Victoria and on the return you can use the ferry from Naniamo to Horseshoe Bay. Below is the BC Ferries schedule, it will be updated for after March 16. If this is during the summer months you may want to make reservations for the sailings. You can read all about it on the link below.

Excellent suggestions above. Vancouver Island has some really special places and it's the perfect destination for a relaxed, interesting road trip. (Having a rental car is crucial.)

Vancouver itself is a cool city too, as is the drive up to Whistler.

Bottom line, you have loads of options that will easily fill all your available time.

Have fun.
