I plan to leave PP for Siem Reap on 17 November. The original plan was to go to Battambang for a couple of nights, and then take the boat to Siem Reap. There is a lot of media coverage on Thai floods- but I understand situation is worse in Cambodia, with first outbreaks of cholera.... but difficult to find accurate info.... I don't want to turn up as a tourist and use valuable resources for local people in need. Anyone out there with up to date info? Is the PP/Bbang/SR route flooded? Is Bbang to SR boat running?
Also my son is planning to join me from Ko Chang (island) Thailand. Are buses still running between Ko Chang and Siem Reap, or will it be better to travel KO Chang to PP (less flooding?)
