My girlfriend and I are going to Argentina next March. We arrive on March 16th AM and leave on March 26th PM, so we have ten days there!
We have always wanted to visit Buenos Aires, so we would like to spend some of these 10 days there, but do you think we have enough time to visit another place? We were thinking of crossing the Rio de la Plata to go to Colonia for a day or two - any advice/recommandation on that? It seems it would be too short for an excursion to Iguazu falls or Patagonia...!
Also, please share as many tips as you have on Buenos Aires! :) It's the first time we're going there.
Thanks a lot,
10 days is quite long to stay in BA ......in 3 days you will likely seen the city. Do not miss La Boca while in BA
Take the ferry to Uruguay, Colonia, this is beautiful place you can do it in one day or stay the night. Rent a bike to get around, there are nice beaches to outside the center
Iguazo is doable for three days but you have to fly overthere......if you take an early flight from BA you have time to view the Brazilian falls in the afternoon and next morning the Argentinian falls
You have not enough time for Patagonia. Save this trip for next time
Enjoy in Buenos Aires
Airplane tickets from Buenos Aires to Iguazu are very expensive for a 2 hour flight (about 300 €). Is that the regular price?
We flown with Aerolinas which was booked far in advance it cost us less than 100€ ........it is indeed very expensive I just check Skyscanner....LATAM is more than 300€ going by bus a very long trip of 18 hours or so. Maybe visit a travel agency in BA and ask how much they charge for Iguazo falls tour
