Do you think 6-7 days there is enough time to do all the activities for most typical tourists? Thanks
We think that 6 days in Buenos Aires is long enough to get a good idea of the city.
Then you could take the ferry to Uruguay to have a rest, this country is much more quiet !
IMO a week is not long enough for any country, but it all depends what you wan't to see.
Buenos Aires. 2 days minimum
Iguazu Falls. A whole day there plus travel time
The beautiful scenery of Tierra Del Fuego , consider travel time
Mount Fitzroy and the Icefield
El Calafate and Perito Moreno Glacier
Bariloche and the lake district
Puerto Madryn and thebeaches or Mar Del Plata
The beautiful cities of Cordoba or Mendoza in the mountains.
I was in Argentina many years ago and I guess I spent around two weeks and only saw Iguazu, BA, Cordoba, Mendoza and a reseller places. Decide what you want to see them figure out the transport options but I would suggest two weeks minimum.
All depends on what you are interested in. From north to south there are a million things to look at.The Iguazzu Falls in the north are one of a kind, Buenos Aires could keep you busy for the full time that you ask about. What about the glaciers and the Torres del Paine national park. It all depends on what you are interested in. I will give you a few of my photos of the places I mentioned just to whet you appetite .
My brother and I went for 11 days, Rosario, Cordoba but we missed the falls! You will have to have a stringent itinerary, there won't be much time for relaxing.
Best wishes, Vicki
Do you mean just Buenos Aires or the country ??
Be more specific with your question. Do you mean 7 days in BA or the whole country?
Argentina is very beautiful country to explore, we spent a month in the country and there are still places we haven't seen. We rented a car, took some internal flights and still we've missed something
If you mean 7 days in BA, it should be enough. You can see the city in 3 days. The remaining days, spent some time in Uruguay. You can easily cross to Uruguay by ferry, the neighboring country is also beautiful
I meant the whole country, but i guess i will either have to add another week to my vacation or just BA and Uruguay like some of you have mentioned. Thank you to all those who responded. I love those pics from Dutchman. The ice glaciers are beautiful!
Personally for me 3 days would be enough for Bs As only. But you could easily add some more time adding some day trips: Uruguay by ferry, Tigre and its delta by train and boat.
Hi, I think that is more than enough for Buenos Aires. I can recommend you to do a bike tour. You will see a lot of the city in a short time and a guide can tell you a lot about Buenos Aires. We did a tour last year with a Baja Bikes and we liked it a lot.
Have fun on your trip!
Agree with the tip about a guided bike tour.
It depends on what you want to do.- Argentina is a big country and has several beautiful places to visit, but some of those places are far from Buenos Aires.- Buenos Aires is a big city too, and as every important city needs 3 or 4 days not only to see monuments, buildings and so, but to enjoy the cultural and living atmosphere, gastronomy and places were local people go. So I think that 5 or 6 days are not enough for Argentina and you have to think at least 15 days to visit Buenos Aires and 2 or 3 places more(not all of them).Have fun.
