Is there a best time of the year to visit Iguazu Falls. We are flexible so can go anytime. Regards
Flying into SSA around Nov 10 I want to visit the following places with minimal doubling back. How does this look?
Nov 10 -arrive Salvador for Foz de Iguacu
3 nights Salvador -
3 days/2 night side trip Lencois (night bus from Salvador)
2 night side trip Sao Felix/Cachoreia (from Lencois via Feira de Santana (bus)
-Salvador via bus from Sao Felix/Cachoreia
3+ night side trip Morro de Sao Paulo or maybe on to Boipeba (boat/boat) Somewhere with a decent balance of not to busy but not too secluded. a little nightlife is good, no wild parties. I'm 55 :)
depart Salvador around Nov 25 for Rio
Thanks in advance
What is the weather like around Lençois in mid November? I read somewhere rains come in November. I'm thinking of a daypack only 3 day side trip from Salvador. Would I need rain gear?
Hi!. As it turns out I will be visiting Brazil within the month. I am travelling through Rio De Janerio and Salvador. Does anyone know what the clearing process in Rio is like? I only have about 1hr 45 minutes to catch a connecting flight and clear customs in Rio, so I am debating on checking luggage. I don't want to have to pack that light if I can help it since I will need a lot of personal belongings for my stay. If the consensuses is that the process is smooth enough then I will try and check luggage. Any help is appreciated!
I am going to Sao Paulo for business trip and i have three days. Please suggest me any option to visit with in three days. I am returning back from Sao Paulo airport and i am interested to visit Rio too.
Hello, does anyone knows how can we get a birth certificate from brazil without travelling there? Is there any online services?
Thank you for the help
Ola everyone. I will be in Brazil 4 weeks in November 2016. Only firm dates so far are my flights arriving Rio Nov. 2 and departing Rio Dec 2. I am leaning toward airbnb, couchsurfing, and or pousadas as accommodations. I may cross paths with family or friends at some point during my stay but I'm planning as a solo traveler. I'm thinking of the following route
My first thought was a 29 inch wheeIed beast and a small to midsized daypack. I really would rather not drag a big wheeled suitcase around so I'm looking for packing tips. Maybe a travel backpack and a collapsible duffel for souvenirs on the way out. Any tips, tricks and insights are greatly appreciated.
Muito Obrigado, George
Boa tarde! Tem alguem de Porto de galinhas?? Preciso dicas!!
Hi, would anyone have some good information on the best way to get my fiancé here to the US so that we can get married. I know there is a fiancé visa but there's also something called the k3. Reading the site it appears they require meeting in person before granting a fiancé visa. Idk if that's the case or not. Thanks
We are planning a stop over from Peru in Brazil. Want to cover Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo and Iguassu Falls, in total about 5 days. Any recommendations
Can you give me the names and email contacts for rentals of an RV/motorhome in or near Rio de Janeiro?

If I were to fly into Rio And Out of Buenos Aires In April. How long would the ideal amount of time be for such a trip?Doing so overland Are the long distance buses expensive?
If I had Igassu falls as My main destination. Maybe Some itinerary like Rio- Parati- Sao Paulo- Curitaba-Igassu Falls-Buenos Aires.Would this be ridiculous or are the buses okay.
Obviously I have only started researching my trip but what other highlights could i add in on my route between Rio and Buenos Aires?
Hey Guys just a couple of questions.Debating going to Rio in March Early April Are prices a lot higher in March?
Obviously there is a bit to see and do in Rio but all the destinations seem so far apart besides internal flights to get from A to B would there be any suggested overland route Starting from Rio and Probably finishing in Rio for a 2-3 week stay? i.e like start off in Rio and bus down toward Sao paulo and stop in a few worthwhile places on the way.Flyng into Rio and Probably out of Rio unless it would be worthwhile to say fly into Rio and out of Sao paulo.
Hi, does anyone know if an Australian can get a Brazilian visa at the Brazilian embassy in San Jose, Costa Rica? and how long it takes?
Is it considered safe for a male tourist to travel in Bahia Brazil alone? My Brother is going this month for 2 weeks by himself.
I am inquiring about this for a possible future trip. Has anyone traveled to Brazil and visited the Atlantic Rain Forest?
If yes, what's the best gateway and can you provide the names of some eco-tour operators?
Is anyone could help me how to get to Sao Miguel by bus from. Bras Sao Paulo please?
My mum and I are going to travel for 15 days in Brasil in November.
For sure, we want to spend 4 days in Rio and 2 days in Foz de Iguaçu. Including the travel days, we have then a total of 5 days left.
I thought about going to Paraty, but 5 days is a little bit long, right? And I have already been to Ilha Grande, so I don't know where else to go, without too mich travelling.
Do you guys have a good recommendation?
Hi, I'm planning to travel to Brazil in November and visit Rio, Foz de Iguacu and Sao Paulo. I hear the best way and cheapest way to travel is by bus. There are site like where you can buy bus tickets online in advance. Any experience with travelling by bus in Brazil?
I am dual citizen now (EU and USA) I want to go to Argentina. I don't need visa for my Europe passport and for that I wanna use it. I traveled many places without any visa with my EU passport.
But now dual, My question is when and how I use my passports?
I am confused, what part of my trips I use what passport . Do I exit USA with US passport, enter Argentina with Europe? Or not ? How about the return?
I heared so many different answers. I appreciate if someone gave me correct answer as they had this experience and used dual citizen throughout their journey.
I like to know so I can use for other trips as well, ex Cuba, Africa etc.
Many many thank you'd in advance for help

Hi There! I will be travelling to Brazil for 5 weeks at the end of July and need some information on how to get my cell phone working there. I know I'll have to purchase a SIM card once I land, but I'm looking for recommendations on which carriers and plans would be best.
I will mostly need to call/text from Brazil to Canada, some local calls/texts, and a high data capacity (a bare minimum of 2 GB). I will be moving around Brazil with stops in Sao Paulo, Rio de Janiero, Salvador and the state of Maranhão. If anyone can help me out with some advice and recommendations, I would be very grateful!
I'm flying in to Porto Alegre and driving to Caxias do Sul in a few weeks. I've been warned not to stop at red lights due to "smash and grab" incidents at night. If anyone has visited the area, will you please reply with tips/recommendations and safety advice? Thank you!
Hello, i'm a student and planning to participate in a volunteer program for 6 weeks this summer. Among my options for destinations is Brasilia(also Serbia,Egypt,Russia and Tunisia), which seems to be more appealing to me since i live in Greece and i think it will be once in a lifetime experience to go that far and also sounds quite exotic. Is it worth? is the weather good in July? Google search for images shows mostly buildings and lacks people and life is it as it seems?
Next month (June) we are traveling to Sao Paulo, Iguazu Falls, Belo Horizonte, and Rio de Janeiro. Any word about the severity (or absence) of dengue fever?
three of us (students in the twenties) are planning to travel through Brazil for four weeks in September. We have never been to South America before, yet are fairly experienced traveler. I've read the northeast should be a good time to travel for September.
What do you think? Any recommendations for a route?
I'd prefer a mix of coast and inland, though I have no idea if that is possible to realize ;).
Thanks a lot guys!!

Is the 6-month passport validity policy strictly enforced these days for US business travelers to Brasil?
Travel guides often advise carrying two wallets: one with most of the traveler's money, and the other, for pickpockets and such, with a "small amount" of money. Q: how much is a "small amount" of money that might still satisfy the thief?
