I want to know how to contact Air Kyrgyzstan in English as its web-site is not in English. Does this airline respond to international enquiries on its services? Although i have its email address air@air.kg i am not sure whether they will respond to my enquiry. Also does it have a branch office in Urumqi?
Is Bishkek an English-speaking city? How to seek direction to Air Kyrgyzstan's Head Office in Bishkek if i decided to make a debut trip to Bishkek via Urumqi?
May i know whether Pegasus Asia still flies from Urumqi to Bishkek? Does Air Kyrgyzstan also fly from Urumqi to Bishkek? On which English web-site can i book a return ticket of Air Kyrgyzstan to Bishkek? Is it cheap?
I am a resident of Canada. I am planning to travel to Bishkek. I need a letter of invitation to get a visa on arrival. Can anyone help me with it?
Am interested in taking the Pamir Highway jeep trip from Bishkek to Dushanbe (or reverse). Any local tour companies you can recommend? Any help would be most appreciated.
Cheers,

I've just booked flights into Almaty and out of Bishkek, and will have 9 days to spend travelling between the two. January is probably not the best time to go there, but I don't really have much choice when I can take my holidays. So, a few questions:
- any tips for surviving the sub zero temperatures?
- what does Bishkek have to offer in the winter? From reading up about it, there doesn't seem to be a huge amount to see in the city itself, and as for day trips, all the guidebooks say "head for the mountains", which might be great advice in warmer months, but what is it possible to do in January?
- 9 days might be too long to spend in just Almaty and Bishkek, but not long enough to head anywhere else...or is it? Is it worth trying to visit somewhere else in Kyrgyzstan, or should I save that for a summer trip?
- Bishkek vs. Almaty...which city offers more in winter? (I think I already know the answer to that, but maybe I'm wrong!)
Thanks
Are the hot springs outside Bishkek worth a visit
We plan to travel from Almaty in June to spend two nights in Bishkek. Please could anyone tell me what would be the latest bus running from Bishkek, Western Bus Station to Almaty? I understand the journey will take 4 to 5 hours.
We were thinking about leaving Bishkek about 15:00 and understand buses leave when they are full.
Any advice would be really appreciated.
Are there any organized hiking/biking tours of Kyrgyzstan? Any guidance would be most appreciated.
Cheers,
Malkey
Only a couple of days left in Kyrgystan, and I don't want to have to make another! trip to the orthopedist. Anyone have a home-remedy type way to make walking in my (summertime) running shoes less treacherous?

i am a indian student studying in bishkek. how to travel to issyk kul lake from bishkek?can you help please.
I am working in Bishkek and interested in going skiing on the weekends; either for one or two days. The cheapest way is to go to the closest resorts with a local operator, where you can get an all-inclusive package for 1,500 Som ($30) covering transport, ski rental and lift ticket. I have not yet managed to test this, as they have vehicle issues...
Better resorts are about 100 km away and one can get 4WD transport for the day for $85. The car can take up to 4 passengers; there would be additional costs for a lift pass (around 600 Som) and ski rental (600 Som).
If you are interested in sharing transport on any of the following days: 15-16/2; 22-23/2; 1-2/3; or 8-9/3; send an email to bisbjerg at attglobal.net
Hi, everyone.
Thread title is irrelevant, by the way. LOL.
Real Questions are:
1. What's the better option for a lone traveler like me who wants to travel in Kyrgyzstan for a month - Do it Yourself or a tour company? (Should be budget wise as i'm as poor as a lone tree in the desert).
2. Is it fine if I travel first to Kazakhstan then overland to Bishkek?
3. Wanna go with me?
Please , anyone could explain me how does it function?
I am brazilian.
Thanks in advance.

I have two days to get from Bishkek airport to Suusamir (down on the M41, close to the junction left to Kochor) and I am looking for an overnight stay in the mountains on the way down there. I need to cross the Too Ashuu pass in possibly wintery conditions so I would be interested in suggestions for a pretty village to try to stay in for the night. All tips welcome.
Can someone pls tell me what price to expect for a apartment for 2 weeks? In the city .

Can you please ask the worker in ZUM, I guess it's on 3rd floor, it's in MP3 and camera selling section. I bought an MP3/MP4(video)player on August 10 and they didn't give me any receive check and it broke down and I wanted to replace it , but Apple company wants to receive any information that I relly bought it. So I really need your help. I bought it from a girl(I do remember it) and her boot(place)is near the pircing center. So when you step from stairs walk straight, turn left and the first left after piercing center is that place. I really appreciate your help. Thank you very much.
Is there a local bus that goes from the airport to the long distance bus station?
Should I take a bus to the center and then take a taxi to the long distance bus station? Would that be a much more economical option?
Are the taxis safe?
How much would a taxi from the airport to the bus station cost?
I just started to work in Bishkek for a year and would like to meet some people outside my own organisation who'd like to go out for a beer occasionally (locals or expats). For me a chance to learn more about the city and the country, for you it could be an opportunity to practise your English.
I'd so love to know about bushkek a bit and then I'd wanna know about the flights that fly there from malmö, Swedon or copenhagen, Denmark. And i wanna do it between 25th of july n come back shall be before 20th of august. Would be so nice of if i get to know about the cheapest way to get there or fly. Would be even more helpfull if i get some info about the visa and stuff!!! thanx

Hi guys - I am working in Bishkek last week of July and have a few days to spend exploring from Friday 28th to Tuesday 1st August. I'm particularly interested in trekking areas with wildlife so any ideas greatly appreciated. Also any advice on must-see places in Bishkek itself would be good to keep me occupied!
