Hi! Can somebody please tell me the frequency of the ferry ride from Mainz to Koblenz.
My wife and I are taking a day trip down the the Rhine (I think it's down?) Via KD Line...from Bingen....anyway heading North towards Koblenz. Anyone have any ideas of where to go before we head back to Bingen? Should we go all the way to Koblenz? or just part way? any help will be appreciated...Thanks.
We are driving to Bingen from the south....we want to take a look at Rudensheim...is it a good idea to leave my car in Bingen, and just take the ferry over to take a look around Rudenshim? or is it necessary to take my car on the ferry?? Thanks for any suggestions...
How far of a drive is it from Bingen to Mainz? Is there a bridge at Mainz? Perhaps it would be easier to drive to the bridge...then over to Rudinsheim, than to wait in line for a ferry? or is it easy to get on the ferry? Thanks again for any help...
We are coming from the South up to Bingen....we want to take a boat ride North up the Rhine to Koblenz? or at least to the North....We also want to explore Rudenshim...which is across the river....I understand that there is a ferry that goes across to Rudensheim...my question if there a bridge kind of close by? If so, about how far is it to drive to the bridge from Bingen..to get to Rudensheim? or is it easy to cross the river on the ferry to Rudensheim? Also, does anyone know a specific boat line that allows you to get on and off up the Rhine...?? Any tips would be appreciated..Thanks!!
A couple of questions actually:
I plan on catching a boat (KD Line) up the Rhine from either Rudensheim or Bingen to Koblenz.....I kind of wanted to get to Rudensheim, but don't know how to get across the river?? Is there a ferry or a bridge nearby?
I see on the time chart that KD Line goes by different towns along the river. My question is--can you get off the boat and catch another boat coming along later? or once you get off...that's as far as you go? Just trying to develop a strategy.
