We are visiting Bayeux, France and want to find a driver to take us from there to Paris on September 14, 2016. Do you know of a service that provides this?
Not cheap (it's a long way) but if you want to go to a Paris airport then you could look at
If you contact them they might be prepared to take you to other locations as well.
There is also this provider:
Alternatively, and much more cheaply, you could just take a direct train into Paris:
There is a direct train from Bayeux to Paris that is very reasonable. A random check gave prices from $24.50 to $33. It is fast and comfortable and you don't have to worry about traffic. Your station in Paris is St. Lazare right downtown in the center of Paris.
If you want a car and driver, we have used First Way twice and they were excellent. [original VT link]
Enjoy your trip.
If you are really fixed on a private driver from Paris to Bayeaux you may want to try a company that books tours like Bayeau Shuttle. While geared for "tours" they will often tailor a fixed price for just the transportation. I recently did this in Southern Portugal and the price was so reasonable we ended up giving a significant tip to the drivers. That said, even with 3-4 people is makes sense to take the direct train to Bayeux and then have a car pick you up at the train station.
Carl, they are starting in Bayeux and going to Paris although your suggestion may work as well going that direction. Certainly in Paris there would be no trouble finding a taxi at the St. Lazare train station. Calling the shuttle people is a great idea.
