Just wondering if 2 hours and 45 minutes is enough time between flights--arriving in bkk from siem reap on bangkok airways at 11:00am and then at 1:45pm catching a flight on emirates to Hong Kong. We will have checked baggage. Thanks
Quite enough. It will be easy if u have boarding card ready with you. Both the airlines are usually on time, and therefore not worry some.
If you won't have any delay with Bangkok Airways, you have enough time to check in for your Emirates flight. As a general rule, you can't check in when there is only 45 minutes left for the flight, that gives you almost 2 hours.
Yes, that should be plenty of time, understanding that you are going to have a bit of a convoluted process. Fortunately it flies into Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) and not Don Muang.
Bangkok Airways is a "boutique" carrier and does not attempt to integrate with the traditional carriers, so you will be arriving in Thailand, clearing customs and immigration, picking up your luggage, heading out into the main check-in area, checking in and dropping off your luggage at Emirates, head through security, emigration and off to your boarding gate. If our experience was typical, you should be able to accomplish everything in less than an hour.
One other thing that we noticed with Bangkok Airways is that they left as soon as all of the booked passengers were on board, so you might gain a 10 or 20 minutes there. Siem Reap airport is small and not too busy, so there won't be long waiting periods caused by massive lineups of planes waiting to depart.
This of course assumes no delays for weather or mechanical reasons.
More than enough if only you are at the same airport.
