I will be landing in Bangalore airport at 10.30 am on 10 December. Between 10.30 am and 2.10 pm is there any nearby tourist destination i can visit without staying in an external hotel? I will be carrying one luggage and one sling bag.
If there is no tourist destination nearby the airport, do you recommend me to change my itinerary and add one more domestic flight from Bangalore to another Indian airport like Coimbatore and from Coimbatore to Chennai airport before arriving in Hyderabad airport for flight to Singapore at 1.40 am on 11 December?
Is there a transit hotel inside the arrival section of Bangalore airport?
if you are interested in history and temple,
then there is tippu sultan's birthplace is nearby and a good temple in the vincinity,
and there a few very good jain temple,
u can arrange a taxi for seeing all these places and return in time
The airport is located out of town to the north-east of Bangalore, in an industrial area, so not an exciting place to visit. That being said, your stopover is only 3 hours 40 minutes, so I'm not quite sure why you would bother leaving the terminal building. By the time you deplane and head off to the departure lounge to catch your connecting flight your wait time will not be excessively long. Unless you are traveling on a separate ticket, I would expect your luggage to be checked through to your final destination,
I've been through the airport 4 times (and will likely be back in a few months) but was surprised to learn that there is a small day hotel on site.
Yes i have separate Trujet ticket to Hyderabad.
Is the day hotel outside the airport or before the Immigration?
I don't remember seeing the signs to it, but the link says it is near the domestic check-in, so it is inside the terminal building. That suggests that you have to clear immigration to get to it. I've only taken internal flights connecting flights in India and have not passed through as an international transit passenger, so I don't know how India is set up that way. It sounds like you are looking at exiting the terminal, so that should not be an issue.
Again, if the times you have given are correct, you don't have a particularly long stop over in Bangalore, so I don't quite understand why you are looking at these options.
Get a taxi - no problem. Tell the driver to take you to DEVANAHALLI FORT - it is only 14.6 Km from the airport, less than 30 minutes by car. Be prepared to pay the motorway toll, as this is never included in the taxi fare. Get the taxi to wait for you (arrange a waiting fee) at the Fort because it might be difficult to get a taxi back from there. [original link]
PS: as for your check-in baggage, check it in for your next flight before making your short excursion.
Bangalore airport is 40 km distance for the main city. So if you have ticket for another flight which will be take off in next 3 or 4 hours. The better option is shopping mall in White field which is nearly located, as your airport is on the countryside. Spend time in airport buying souvenirs.
