Hi - depending on your nationality you may need a visa (if you are an Indian national, you will). Doesn't seem that there are consulates in Bangalore so check with a travel agent or contact the specific consulate in Delhi. Follow the visa instructions carefully providing all the information they need.

Read up on Panama, Guatemala, and Costa Rica and decided when the weather is best for your visit. Check [original link] to see what airlines fly there and then check the airlines' websites to compare prices. It's not recommended to purchase a ticket until you secure a visa. Flying into Costa Rica makes sense. Then you can take a bus (long trip - 12 hours or so), a flight, or a boat to see the canal. If you're going to Guatemala instead of Costa Rica then I'd suggest flying to Panama since it's much further away.

Research both places to see where you want to stay and what you want to visit. Good luck!

Hi - what are the names of the specific hotels you stayed at in those places - which by the way are not islands.

Thank you, friends, for all your input.
I may be travelling in December and not now. Donna, Thanks.
