Hi Anasina99, only Aswan for now, Cairo is too daunting for me, I can just about do Luxor in small amounts.

Hi [VT member 172994] shukran for your answer re Aswan, I will look at your suggested site, I tried to answer you but the screen just goes dark and a cross appears on the blue answer icon and won`t let me type an answer ! So I am doing it this way hope you see my answer. Congratulations on your recent award on VT.
I like Aswan but it does get a bit tedious after a week especially after sightseeing, there is no entertainment, Luxor is better for entertainment but a bit busy for me, Aswan is more relaxed.
I will do my best to enjoy once I have found somewhere to live that is!!!

I don't know about Aswan, but I can recommend my partner's place in sunny Luxor! (-;
Check it out at: www.owners [original link]
Sorry, am struggling to work out how to cut and paste links on my new tablet, so if I've copied the website address incorrectly, just search the ownersdirect website for Memnon Apartment, Luxor. Have a great trip!

Yes, that's exactly what I meant! I noticed that autocorrect had slipped in a space where I didn't want one! (-:
Thank you - or shukran - Hesham, for posting the correct link. As I say, I'm still getting to grips with my new tablet!

Thanks Cowald I`ll check it out but don`t really fin Luxor relaxing , it`s a bit cutthroat in way, but the cafes are more lively than Aswan. How much a week in sterling /GBP does your partner charge?

£150 per week at the moment, for a large 2 bedroom flat (though he does have a smaller one bedroom/studio flat if you want something smaller/cheaper). It's on Luxor's West Bank, which I think is nicer and more laid-back than the East Bank. It's very close to the ferry, though, so you can easily get across to the 'town' side. Take a look at the website and come back to me if you're interested. All the best.

Hi thanks for getting back to me, it`s a bit steep for me pricewise, I usually stay 21-25 nights so maybe the studio one might be an option but I hope it is not too small/claustrophobic. I will have a look, cheers

Hi again! The studio flat doesn't appear on the website, I'm afraid, but it has a double bedroom, a living room/kitchen and bathroom (with shower, loo and basin). It's not huge, but should be fine for one person. If you want to rent for several weeks, I'm sure Abdu would be happy to negotiate on the price of rental on a 2 bedroom flat (he has 3). Just let me know if you're interested.
