We are coming to watch the Rangers-Yankees later this month with our three young kids. We have never been to the Dallas/Arlington area and I was just wondering if there are any suggestions or concerns regarding the area around the ballparks? I have read a lot of comments about the safety/crime in Arlington but wanted feedback from those who know this area and could provide some travel suggestions. Thanks!
Stay at the Sheraton there, and you will be golden. Excellent hotel, stayed many times when going to a game, they have 24-7 security in the parking lot.
I have lived in Arlington my whole life, I am 10 min away from both Stadiums. This is a VERY kid friendly area. We also have some really nice parks around that area such as "River Legacy Park"(Located 10 min North Of Stadiums). My 4 year old Daughter Loves "The Parks Mall" (Located about 20min South Of Stadiums) They Have An Indoor Ice Rink, Carosel (that you can buy an all day pass to for $5) and a free indoor park (Not Sure How Old Your Kids Are), There are Also Many Historical Sites With Century's Old Antiques, Such As "The Arlington Museum" (Indoor and slightly South West Of Stadiums), Hope this helps!
