where is the best place to exchange money and what is the exchange rate for the british pound?
Hi you can use a number of sites online for exchange rates google.co.uk/webhp?sourceid=...
at the moment the rate has improved to 14 dirham to 1 british pound.
I only ever take cash with me to have as a back up and otherwise just rely on using ATM machines to withdraw cash as i go along - maybe every 2-5 days depending on what im doing and how far im going.
the rates between banks for withdrawing money dont really have much difference between them, but if im exchanging cash i have in the past usually found the best rates at Western Union or credit union such as the Agricole bank, or the BMCE - but theres not really much difference
Agree with Angie, cash is best, the exchange rate at money changers can be slightly better than banks + you get a much faster service. If you are going to use ATM machines you will be charged on every transaction you withdraw. Depending on your card about £3.50 per £100
which banks have you been able to get Moroccan dirham outside Morocco toloan91? and not had any issues with fake cash in Morocco to date.
There are essential facts to know about the currency of Morocco, such as you must notify your bank if you intend to use your debit card to acquire cash from ATM's.
