Hi, has anyone stayed at the Hotel Argana in Agadir? Any idea what it is like?
i stayed in the argana in december on 2 separate occassions.it was fine and ok for a short stay but nothing longer. basic but large rooms.hotel is very 70s/80s style but staff were lovely.food not great.if you are not all inclusive eat elsewhere.short walk to beach.watch out for extra costs.phone calls room service etc.and like most of morocco alcohol is pricey (about 5 euros for a bottle cassablanca beer).my advise is to head up the coast by bus (supratours) and stay in a riad in essaouira 3 hrs away but absolutely worth it.
Thanks - that's really helpful. Was a little unsure about Agadir, think I will head up the coast.
youre welcome.agadir has a really long beach but is extremely commercial.lots of nice riads to choose from in essaouira.i stayed at one called Lunetoile in the centre on the medina, owned by a lovely lady called Sue.it was really nice and very reasonable.she also has an apartment on the beach that she rents out.anyway enjoy your trip whatever you decide to do.best wishes
Sounds much more like my sort of thing. Thanks again. Lucy
