Glacier to Yellowstone Road Trip: Have you done this road trip?

Any tips on what to see along the route? What time of year did you go and how was the weather? Am driving from Oregon with my father and will be staying in hotels vs. camping over the course of 10 days. Thanks!

It's about a 6 - 6 1/2 hr drive between Glacier National Park and Yellowstone (Gardiner or West Yellowstone).  You might want to make that a straight shot to get more time in Yellowstone, rather than making stops along the way.  A slight detour near Three Forks could take you to Lewis & Clark Caverns State Park, if exploring caverns interests you.  The cave is open only between May and September and the 2 hour tours start every 1/2 hour between 9am and 4:30/6:30 depending on time of year.  If you haven't planned on it, Grand Teton National Park and Jackson are definitely worthwhile.

I haven't done the trip between Glacier and Yellowstone, but I have done the Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Park road trip from Portland during the month of August. Since you're spending time in Yellowstone, I would strongly encourage you to drive just a bit further to enjoy another amazing (but much smaller) national park, as well as the city of Jackson Hole. Depending on what route you're planning to take back to Oregon, I'd also happily offer some suggestions for where to stop in Idaho and Eastern Oregon.

Definitely stop by Flathead Lake. Check out Columbia Falls and be sure to explore Missoula
