Try to stay for longer! Woodstock (New York) has so many options - right in town there are galleries - (Woodstock Artists Association & Museum and the center for photography are internationally known) amazing restaurants and lots of unique stores, with everything from old-fashioned toys to candles and local art work. If hiking is your thing, definitely check out Overlook Mountain - the trail may seem steep starting out, but the views make it all worthwhile. And right across from the trailhead is KTD Tibetan Buddhist Bookstr- definitely worth a visit.
If you want to stay overnight the The Woodstock Inn on the Millstream is within walking distance of the village and is a great, friendly hotel/inn, with great gardens and a stream side setting that lets guests enjoy the best swimming in town.
There are many concerts at night - Levon Helm Studios Rambles are the best, but get tickets in advance. The Bearsville Theater has some great touring acts, while the Colony just re-started its live music at night. Maverick Concerts is a delightful opportunity to hear amazing live music in the woods.
The golf course is also great, the movie house shows great unique films, the Woodstock Playhouse has a summer stock option and the Big Deep is a public swimming hole that is popular.
