You probably saw these other pages, looks like you have Phoenix to Branson already.
From there, you can adjust the details of the trip from Branson to Washington, DC. That's a long drive, so you may want to customize the stops along the way. Washington, DC has plenty to do in the area.
Finally, it's a short trip from DC to NYC. If you're driving back from New York City, I would probably look for two different routes to make it more interesting. Otherwise, if you're moving or only driving one-way, then hopefully you can take your time and really enjoy the cross-country trip.

What mode of transportation are you using? I'm not sure about Branson unless you've driving, but DC to New York is easiest by train (Amtrak). Downtown to Midtown Manhattan without the hassles of flying or driving.
