Jacqueline from Philadelphia asked

Best solo dining spots in Washington D.C.?

Where are some great solo dining spots in D.C.? I prefer smaller places with awesome small plates and a nice wine/cocktail list. Maybe some place I can sit at the bar.  Sometimes a girl just needs to unwind!  Thanks!

Toki Underground has acclaimed food and is small so food for one is good.  Also, Duke's Grocery is a good place.  Not to mention new restaurants that open up, as this happens pretty regularly.

Hi Jacqueline!

There are tons of great spots in DC!  One favorite is Vinoteca Wine Bar and Bistro.  They have yummy small plates and a bar where you can discuss your wine choice with the knowledgeable bartender!

Two other ideas are Estadio and Belga Café.  Both have small bar areas and super delicious food.  Belga is also great for brunch!
