24-hrs in Warsaw

Quick list, in random order. Pretty obvious and famous places.

a) Palace of Culture and Science (It's the most recognizable building in Poland) - It's really close to the Central Railway Station. You can go way to the top of the building to see the panorama of the city. 

b) Royal Summer Residence of King August ( Łazienki Palace) and the gardens. 

c) Royal Castle 

d) Warsaw Uprising Museum - you can learn more about the history of World War II and polish ''impact''. 

e) Warsaw Old Town

There are also a lot of spots where you can grab a bear, drink polish vodka or eat traditional polish dishes. 

Arthur has covered all the key stuff really, but just don't forget to mingle a little and try some great local food !! Pierogi are a must- polish style stuffed pasta !!. Also try a paczek (doughnut) or gofry z jakodami (waffles - with blueberries) which you can buy from little style huts in the old town. 

You have to visit Museum of the History of Polish Jews - Anielewicza Street - close to the centre, Warsaw Uprising Museum, the 19th District - pretty cool contemporary architecture close to the centre 47 Kolejowa Street 

Depends on what you like,but I think the Warsaw Old Town is an ok option,from where you can cross the river and go to Praga (an artistic and at the same time pathological neighborhood:P ) and then come back to the Old town and walk down by the river to the rooftop of the University of Warsaw Library, where there is a garden and a great view. Then walk around Powiśle neighborhood,maybe go to one of it's cozy cafes and next to the the center and palm tree, which is a symbol of modern Warsaw:)
