We have a 24 hour layover in Honolulu and want a hip hotel with a fun pool scene on a Saturday. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!
We just stayed at the The Modern Honolulu (Modern Honolulu). I would highly recommend it if you want to be in Waikiki. Really great pool with plenty of people. It's a more hip scene than the craziness directly on Waikiki. If you're into night clubs there's one on the property.
We love the The Royal Hawaiian also known as the Pink Palace. What a beautiful hotel. It's Art Deco and a throw back to the 20's and 30's . Recently remodeled and in perfect condition.Be sure to ask for a room in the historic section.
The pool is small but you're on right on a private piece of Waikiki beach. You're also on the Ala Moana strip. Plenty of places to have fun and spend lots of money. Have fun! Beware Waikiki gets nuts.
If you are looking for Hip...Stay at The Modern Honolulu they sit next to the marina and have music underwater..great food at Morimotos get the Ahi appetizer...pretty cool!
W Honolulu-Diamond Head. Formerly the W Hotel. Away from the crowds at the base of Diamond Head, just 15 minutes walk to Waikiki. Laid-back hotel, a fusion of urban sophistication and warm Hawaiian hospitality. With so much to do and see on the island you will wish you were staying there for more than just one short night!
The Modern Honolulu and Halekulani Hotel, Sheraton Waikiki, and Moana Surfrider, A Westin Resort & Spa
