Rella from Johannesburg asked

Vietnam, anyone have any hidden gemstones to share?

I am traveling alone to Vietnam for 3 weeks. Does anyone have any must see places - beaches, walks, sights, restaurants?

If you go to the Mekong Delta I highly recommend Green Village Homestay in Can Tho. They are located out of town but there's enough to do for a few days (we rode their bicycles through the small villages to the sounds of children shouting hello! and took a tour to the floating market with Phoenix). It is a very unspoiled place.

Great answer, Adrienne! This sounds so lovely! By the way, I'm a community manager here and I've helped you highlight the places in your answer on a map! In the future, you can do this yourself as you answer a question by simply typing the @-symbol followed by the name of the place. Take a look at your map next to your answer :)

Try and spend at least 2-3 days in the Mekong Delta.

It's a place that is still fairly untouristy as it's big so it's easy to escape the crowds.

If you want a small beach with few tourists and some local life then Qui Nhon is a nice alternative to the more popular beaches.
