Using the first response gets the route, I take my time on this trip stopping at Sioux st Marie then Kenora or Winnipeg then Regina or Calgary then Vancouver all on hwy 1 the transCanada 5 to 7 days.  This is long hard days of driving.  My daughter does it faster Kingston to Sioux, then Winnipeg then Edmonton then Vancouver taking the yellowhead west of Winnipeg.  If your looking for the slow scenic route add more stops around Lake Superior then go south from Calgary and take hwy 3 it takes a few more days because you'll want to stop all along the way.

From Toronto, go through Thunder Bay to take the Trans-Canada Highway to Vancouver. If you add Thunder Bay as a waypoint, you can get a route that stays in Canada instead of going through the United States:

Mentioned in this answer:

  1. Toronto (city)
  2. Thunder Bay (attraction)
  3. Vancouver (city)
