Best Poutine in Downtown

So I've heard that McDonalds makes a mean poutine north of the border, but let's be real: if I'm driving to Canada, I'm not going to eat fast food.

Where are the best places for poutine or other distinctly local/Canadian bites in the Vancouver area? I'll be in town for a weekend, so I could probably do 2-3 places.

Unbelievably the McDonald's poutine is in fact not too bad but you're right, probably not the most authentic. My favourites are Fritz European Fry House or Mean Poutine!

I've tried many but the one at Six Acres I can consider the best, yet the west coast is not comparable to the puotine you can have on the east coast, but it's still a pretty good sample.

Tim Horton's, it's fast food Canadian style although it is now owned by an American company (Wendy's I think) must be over 100 in the Vancouver area. My favorite   Breakfast Sandwich with turkey sausage on a biscuit.    www.timhortons.com
