Looking for the 3 or 4 must go places while eating our way through Vancouver this weekend.
If you want some local farm to table type restaurants I would check out Fable Kitchen or Edible Canada. If you want to try some amazing spanish food, find Espana Restaurant. Local seafood you should check out one of the Chewies locations or Chewies Steam & Oyster Bar - Coal Harbour. Some authentic british gastropub food The Fat Badger is amazing. All of the recommended above feature great local brews and wines as well. Enjoy.

Admittedly, I had to think about this a little while before responding because many of the hot spots in Vancouver are on the pricey side. However, the following restaurants serve amazing food without breaking the bank:
Pourhouse & L'Abattoir- these 2 restaurants are located in GasTown. Both have seasonal menus and a list of creative cocktails.s.
Adesso Bistro- A tranquil garden spot in the West End, this little gem prepares authentic Northern Italian dishes and offers great service.
Bridges Restaurant- casual eats with stunning views of the mountains and local harbor at Granville Island

Put Vij’s on your list. Indian food like no other. It's in the South Granville area and has been featured on an Anthony Bourdain show.
The lamb popcycles are on the "must try" list.
Vij’s, The Naam, Hon's Wun-Tun House, Chambar Restaurant, Salt Tasting Room. Nom, nom. Enjoy! :-)
