Does anyone have any tips (besides frequent flyer miles) on how to get the best price on airline tickets?
Hi Kelly,
I always use price comparison sites like:
www.skyscanner.com or www.kayak.com
Some airlines in Europe release batches of cheap flights just after midnight and I usually try to book at least 6 weeks in advance. If you have favourite airlines subscribe to their websites so that you'll be the first to be notified about sales. ( I got a few €50 return flights that way!)
Use comparison sites to research prices as Maria mentioned, but do so in a "private" window on your browser. Otherwise, your computer may store cookies which then alerts the site to jack up the price next time you visit. Once I find a price I like, I head over to the airline's site to make my purchase.
